Established by 5 Turkish members in June 2008 after a two-year preparation period, Kobirate Uluslar arası Kredi Derecelendirme ve Kurumsal Yönetim Hizmetleri A.Ş. (Kobirate International Credit Rating and Corporate Governance Service Inc.) is a Local Credit and Corporate Governance Rating Company with a fully-paid share capital of TL 200.000.

Being prominent figures in the financial and real sector, who know and monitor closely the companies and finance structures are constituted as Shareholders, members of Credit Rating Committees, Advisory Boards and Rating Specialists.

The Kobirate Credit Rating Methodology, developed at international standards so as to cover the local factors, is systematic. It includes guiding and educating features due to its basic software Perfectrate. It has a parametric infrastructure feature allowing for immediate adaptability of any changes in basic indicators proposed by the Supervisory Authorities.

The European Union Economic Classification System (NACE) is applied to the companies being rated and it is assessed by the sector data recorded in Perfectrate with the NACE classification system. The asset dimension of such data equals to 75% of 2007 GNP.
